This free workshop is for nonprofit, healthcare and government professional care managers. It provides an overview of the many services and resources provided by the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area and the Aging and Disability Resource Center of the Capital Area.
Topics to be covered will include:

- Information and Referral Services for Persons with Disabilities and older Adults
- Care Coordination

- Long-Term Care Application Process

CAPCOG will hold this virtual workshop in two parts. The first will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. April 23, and the second well be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. April 30. CAPCOG will distribute links to join the workshop via email to registrants closer to the event date.

Estate Planning for Older Adults
This webinar will provide older adults and their caregivers with information about legal services everyone should think about while they age in the community of their choice. The webinar will feature Paul J. Zambie, a managing attorney with Austin-based Texas Legal Services Center Inc. He will discuss:

- Affidavit of Heirship
- Miller Trust/Qualified Income Trust
- Advance Directives

AIRS Certification Made Simple
For ADRCs; 2-1-1s; and other information, and referral agencies; the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS) provides valuable certifications for improving better customer service skills. This free virtual webinar will explain the various types of certifications, the benefits of each, what trainings staff members may need, costs of certifications, and the process of earning the certifications.
The webinar will include information on the Texas Health and Human Services certification requirements for 2-1-1s and Aging and Disability Resource Centers. A panel of experienced staff from AIRS, 2-1-1s and ADRCs also will participate.
The ADRC of the Capital Area and the Texas Alliance of Information and Referral Systems affiliate are sponsoring this webinar. It is open to both members and non-AIRS members.
