Criminal Justice Grant Workshop

CAPCOG is conducting a criminal justice grant workshop that will review the application process for six Office of the Governor (OOG), Criminal Justice Division grant programs. This workshop will focus on the OOG requirements and the CAPCOG review process for evaluating and making recommendations to the OOG.

It will cover CAPCOG specific requirements for each program, the CAPCOG Criminal Justice Advisory Committee review criteria, the region's criminal justice strategic plan, the region's criminal justice priorities, the grant application timeline and how applications will be presented to the committee.

Grants programs for which CAPCOG recommends to the OOG include:

  • Criminal Justice Program — Formerly Justice Assistance Grants (JAG)
  • General Victim Assistance Direct Service Program — Formerly General Victim Assistance Program (VOCA)
  • Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program
  • Residential and Community-Based Services for Victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSEY)
  • Sexual Assault Forensic Exam (SAFE)-Ready Facilities Program (SAFE)
  • Violence Against Women Justice and Training Program
