Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions
The Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area is conducting online versions of the Living a Healthy Life with Chronic Conditions program for older adults. This six-week, evidence-based program teaches older adults, 60 and older, with chronic illnesses the skills needed in the day-to-day management of treatment and to maintain and increase one’s activities.
The online program will be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 25 through September 29.
Using a group setting to give a shared learning experience, the program teaches techniques that will let individuals do the following:
- Manage Symptoms
- Incorporate Exercise
- Monitor Nutrition
- Talk with Your Doctor
- Make Informed Treatment Decisions
- Deal with Emotions
Participates will need to be able attend using a computer, laptop or mobile device.
