TCIC/TLETS Full Access Operator Training Course (TCOLE #4802 - 24 hours)

TCIC/TLETS Full Access Operator Training Course (TCOLE #4802 - 24 hours): This course is for operators who perform all TCIC/NCIC functions, including inquiry, entry, modification, clearing, canceling, and III functions. It also covers navigation of the databases that are connected to the TLETS system such as administrative messages, driver license, vehicle registration, and instructions regarding proper procedures for broadcasting in the state and nationwide. This course requires the TCIC/TLETS Operation Manual Parts 1 - 3. Operators must receive this training within the first six months of assignment or employment, regardless of whether these duties are performed on a full-time or part-time basis. In order to comply with federal requirements, operators must recertify within two years of certification or most recent recertification date.

***Prerequisite: Each student must have a TLETS User ID issued before the start of the class to receive credit.***

COVID-19 Rules: This class is not open to agencies outside of Capital Area Emergency Communications District or licenses other than Telecommunicators. All students must follow rules related to COVID-19 that will be provided before the start of class such as wearing a mask, social distancing, and temperature checks.

Dress Code: To promote a professional training environment, CAPCOG requires proper professional attire. T-shirts, shorts, leggings, and flip-flops are prohibited.

Entry to the building: Come in through the Capital Area Council of Governments Training Center entrance (under metal awning – this door is unlocked) and then take the second door on the right (you’ll have to be let in this door). Follow instructions on signage. If there is no sign, use the phone on the wall to dial ext. 6004 for entry and/or further instructions. 

Attendee must bring their PID # to receive TCOLE credit for courses taken at CAPCOG. No meals provided with this training. CAPCOG provides training for the Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs) in our region at no cost to 9-1-1 telecommunicators and their departments. When space is reserved for a 9-1-1 training class offered by CAPCOG, students, or the supervisor who made the reservation, must cancel such reservation at least two business days prior to start of the class or payment for the class will be invoiced to the appropriate agency for the "no show".

Cancel Registration

CAPCOG reserves the right to cancel a class that does not meet the minimum number of registered attendees at least seven business days before the class start date. In those circumstances, CAPCOG will provide a full refund. Students who wish to cancel their registration must cancel online or notify CAPCOG in writing (via email or fax) at least seven business days prior to the course date in order to receive a refund. There will be a $10 administrative fee for processing the refund.

"No shows" and student cancellations made less than seven business days prior to the start of class may be charged the full course fee. Partial attendance will not be permitted for any of the courses.
