Striking a Balance: The Daytripper - Anniversary Keynote Event

This in-person, keynote event will feature Chet Garner, creator, host, executive producer and writer of the The Daytripper, a five-time Emmy-award-winning program on PBS.

Garner was born and raised in Texas and loves storytelling. He brings the same enthusiasm to his speaking events that is seen in “The Daytripper”, and aims to create contagious energy that will have every attendant walk away inspired and excited about Texas, daytripping, and finding their own passion in life. Garner is a graduate of UT-Austin and Baylor Law School. After a practicing law for three years, he followed his passion to inspire his follow Texans to appericate the beauty, history and food of Texas.

The annual Striking A Balance Family Caregiver Conference is a four-day event consisting of three days of webinars and a Saturday keynote speaker and luncheon. The conference brings family caregiver new resources, tools and techniques that improve their loved one’s care and renew their own spirits. The Striking a Balance Family Caregiver Conference is run by the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area (AAACAP) and AGE of Central Texas.

Keynote speech will take place during lunch with starts at noon.

Cancel Registration

CAPCOG reserves the right to cancel a class that does not meet the minimum number of registered attendees at least seven business days before the class start date. In those circumstances, CAPCOG will provide a full refund. Students who wish to cancel their registration must cancel online or notify CAPCOG in writing (via email or fax) at least seven business days prior to the course date in order to receive a refund. There will be a $10 administrative fee for processing the refund.

"No shows" and student cancellations made less than seven business days prior to the start of class may be charged the full course fee. Partial attendance will not be permitted for any of the courses.
