Enter the classroom through the CAPCOG training entrance. This entrance is located under the metal awning near the main parking lot.
Walk down the long hallway to the room. Signs will be posted to help with direction.
CAPCOG is hosting the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) for a non-technical cybersecurity course that develops risk awareness among elected officials, appointed officials, and other senior level managers.
This course keeps the officials better informed to protect their organization from cyber incidents. Upon completion, participants should better understand cybersecurity risks faced by their organization and how to work with IT teams and other departments to mitigate risks.

- Cybersecurity Risks to the Community
- Risk Management and Mitigation

Special Instructions
To receive FEMA CE Credits: Students must register and bring a copy of their SID number to class. Register for the CEs online at cdp.dhs.gov/femasid.
Those registering must create an account and register through the myTEEX Student Portal. The portal can be found at https://my.teex.org/TeexPortal/Default.aspx.
To promote a professional environment, CAPCOG requires proper business attire. T-shirts, shorts, capri pants and flip-flops are prohibited. No meals provided with training.
