CAPCOG is holding a public hearing to gather community input on the conditionally approved Preliminary Method of Distribution (MOD) for $52,253,000 in Community Development Block Grant Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) funds to provide financial assistance for necessary expenses that support activities related to Hurricane Harvey disaster relief.

CAPCOG is holding the hearing in-person and virtually via Microsoft Team. It recommends those wanting to attend virtually register for this event to receive an attendance link by email the day before the hearing.

The in-person meeting will take place at at CAPCOG, 6800 Burleson Road, Building 310, Suite 165 in Austin.

The CDBG-MIT supported activities include long-term recovery, restoration of infrastructure and housing, economic revitalization, mitigation, and affirmatively furthering fair housing. The funding is for the most impacted and distressed (MID) areas in Bastrop, Caldwell, Fayette, and Lee counties.
