This is for the manager or director of the center. This high-energy event will send you back to your center with knowledge that is hard to find elsewhere. We will have a full day of trading professional advice and the day will be capped off with an afternoon with legal experts in the field of public safety employment and 911 liability. The networking and collaborative learning event will pay lasting dividends in your agency as you leverage the contacts made during this fun day.
This day is intended for Managers/Directs specifically, so no but front-line or mid-level managers may attend.
Staffing and retention in Emergency Communications Centers are reaching crisis levels. Retaining staff is at an all-time low! We are always discussing the challenges within our work culture but do NOTHING to change it. Cannibalism is alive and well in our centers! Let’s work together to make a difference. Many of the problems have been caused by years of poor culture in our centers! It’s time to do the hard work and create better work environments in our agencies. So…
How do we change it and where do we start?
D – Determine problem areas
I – Invite others to talk
S – Share ideas/solutions
H – Help each other become better
- Kelle Hall (Highland Park DPS)
