Venue Address:

Description:

CAPCOG will email a link to attend the webinar to those who registered prior to the event.

CAPCOG is conducting three State Homeland Security Program grant workshops to prepare applicants for the Office of the Governor’s FY 2024 funding cycle. It is required that applicants attend one of the three workshops which will all be held virtually and address the SHSP application process and review the federal, state, and regional requirements and priorities for the grant funding.

The workshops also will cover applicant and project eligibility; rules, regulations, and certifications; prohibited activities and equipment; investment categories; the grant review and prioritization process; and the program’s timeline and milestones.

The priority funding areas adopted by CAPCOG include: enhancing cybersecurity, combating domestic violent extremism, enhancing the protection of soft targets and crowded places, enhancing information and intelligence sharing, enhancing community preparedness and resilience, and election security. In previous years, between $1.3 and $1.8 million in SHSP funding was allocated to the CAPCOG region.
