Enter the Lantana through the Suite 155 main entrance. The suite’s door way is to the left in building 310’s main lobby.

Join the Area Agency on Aging of the Capital Area for a four-hour workshop on empowering family caregivers through their own lived experiences and stories. The workshop will teach caregivers how sharing one’s story can strengthen their ability to provide care while also assisting others through fostering a community that supports family caregiver’s self and family advocacy.

Workshop attendees will learn to document their journeys, uplift their fellow caregivers and strengthen the caregiving network through the encouragement to speak out about their lived experiences. They also will learn to develop strategies to increase community awareness on caregiving issues and to collaborate with other family caregivers to build community advocacy efforts.
