Description:

CAPCOG will email a link to attend the webinar to those who registered prior to the event.

CAPCOG is hosting a virtual grant writing workshop for communities seeking Solid Waste Grant funding during 2024-25 biennium. CAPCOG estimates that $274,000 will be available for community projects, about $137,000 per fiscal year, through its Solid Waste Grant Program.

The workshop will provide helpful hints on developing better grant applications by covering the following:

  • The Request for Applications documents
  • project requirements
  • changes to the grant funding cycle
  • grant application documents
  • project eligibility
  • funding priorities
  • timelines for funded applications
  • tracking and reporting requirements

Also covered will be project match requirements and maximum project funding amounts. Local jurisdictions can submit more than one project application, but they must prioritize their applications by funding preference. Any organization planning to seek CAPCOG Solid Waste Grant Program funds needs to have at least one employee attend a workshop. More are welcome.
