CAPCOG Online

Venue Address:
United States

Description:

CAPCOG will email a link to attend the webinar to those who registered prior to the event.

The CAPCOG Criminal Justice Program is conducting a grant preparation workshop for applicants seeking funding from any of the four grant programs which CAPCOG scores and prioritizes for the Office of the Governor.

The four grant programs CAPCOG scores and prioritizes include:

  • Criminal Justice Program (JAG)
  • General Victim Assistance Direct Services Program (VOCA)
  • Juvenile Justice and Truancy Prevention Grant Program (JJ/TP)
  • Violence Against Women Justice and Training Program (VAWA)

The workshop will cover the eligibility requirements, prioritization process, PY2025 timeline and key events, regional and state funding priorities, funding limitations and more.

Workshop attendance is not required; however, it carries a significant weight in an application’s score. Attendees will receive ten points on applications they submit in any grant program. An applicant that didn’t attend a workshop will not receive the ten points for any application.

Special Instructions

Registration for this event is being handled through Microsoft Teams/Webinar. Registrants who signed up to attend the workshop before the Microsoft link was available, should have been contacted by CAPCOG to receive the webinar attendance. If you were not contacted, please email Karina Trevino.

Register for the virtual workshop.

Registration alone does not guarantee attendance; attendance will be recorded during the meeting as active participation during the session is crucial.

CAPCOG will conduct this workshop twice, once in person and once via Microsoft Teams. The content will be the same. Participation in at least one workshop is necessary for applicants to qualify for the workshop attendance points.
